Ladakh/Internet/Hyderabad, Aug 13 (Maxim News): Two earthquakes occurred in Leh in the Union Territory of Ladakh within a span of hours. The first tremors occurred at 6 am on Thursday. The intensity of this earthquake was recorded as 5.5 on the Richter Scale. Earthquakes occurred again in just four hours. Due to this, the locals were in a state of extreme panic.
Ladakh is already a region prone to earthquakes. The tremors were felt at 9.54 am. Its intensity was recorded as 4.3 on the Richter scale. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) explained that the epicentre of the earthquake has been identified. It has been revealed that there was no loss of life or property due to this earthquake.
