Hyderabad, August 14: Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup soon, with the iPhone 18 Pro Max likely to headline the company’s next flagship smartphone range.
Apple has not officially announced the launch date. However, recent leaks suggest that the company could unveil the new iPhones on September 9.
Apple has traditionally launched its flagship iPhones in September. The official date is expected to be confirmed closer to the event.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Expected Features and Specifications
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to retain the overall design language of the iPhone 17 series. However, Apple could introduce new colour options, including Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Dark Gray and Silver.
The flagship models are expected to be powered by the A20 Pro chipset. It could be Apple’s first processor manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process.
The new chip is expected to deliver improved performance and power efficiency compared with the previous generation. Apple is also reportedly exploring advanced chip packaging to improve Apple Intelligence performance and save internal space.
The camera system could receive a major upgrade. The iPhone 18 Pro models are rumoured to feature a variable aperture main camera, allowing users to control the amount of light entering the lens.
Apple is also reportedly testing larger apertures for the main and telephoto cameras. These changes could improve low-light photography and background separation.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max could receive its biggest battery upgrade yet. Leaks suggest that the US version could feature a battery capacity exceeding 5,000mAh.
Combined with a more efficient processor and improved display technology, the larger battery could deliver significantly longer battery life.
iPhone 18 Pro Max Expected Price
The iPhone 18 Pro series could also become more expensive. A recent IDC report suggested that Apple could raise prices by as much as $200 for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
The possible price increase comes amid rising memory and component costs. Apple has already increased prices for some iPad and MacBook models.
However, Apple has not confirmed the expected pricing for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. More details on the India price and specifications are expected closer to the official launch.
