Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 15 (Maxim News): The 80th Independence Day celebrations are being celebrated with great pomp and show across the country. Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort in Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, he warned people to be vigilant against the mentally ill Naxals. He did not fully define the term mentally ill Naxals, but he said in his speech that they should be identified and isolated. He said that mentally ill Naxals are a new type of enemy. The Prime Minister said that people with Maoist mindset are now participating in the country’s politics, some are also serving as advisors in government committees, Maoist ideology has influenced the country’s policies, we have eliminated the Naxals living in dense forests, we have saved the country from that crisis, and although the armed Naxalites have been eliminated, the brainy Naxals remain.
Modi accused those Naxals of creating violence and unrest in the country. Prime Minister Modi said in his speech that they are implementing different strategies to take the society on the wrong path.
Prime Minister Modi hoisted the national flag on the Red Fort. At the same time, the Vande Mataram song was sung.
This was the first time in the country’s history that the Vande Mataram song was sung in full on the Red Fort. Later, the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ was sung. At that time, two MI-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force showered flowers. One helicopter carried the national flag, and the other a medallion with ‘Vande Mataram’ written on it, and they were a sight to behold in the sky.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the song ‘Vande Mataram’, special programs are being organized under the auspices of the Central Government for a year from November 7 last year. In this context, the Central Government has enacted a law giving equal status to Vande Mataram along with the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. According to this law, insulting ‘Vande Mataram’ or causing disruption during its singing is considered a legal offence. The song ‘Vande Mataram’ was first sung by Rabindranath Tagore at the Congress session held in Calcutta in 1896.
GIVE ME ONE HOUR : MODI ASKS YOUTH
Prime Minister Modi said that ‘Dimagi Naxals’ are waiting for an opportunity and are coming up with new tactics to drag society into the wrong path. We should identify them and isolate them. Modi suggested that more than 3,500 security personnel have been martyred in the fight against Naxalism, which is more than those who lost their lives in wars.
He also mentioned the ongoing census in the country. Modi called on the youth to actively participate in it. ‘I am asking everyone to do a favor. Please spare an hour or two for the census. It will be very useful for the country. Census is not about writing all the numbers in one place. National policies and schemes are shaped based on the details you provide during the census. Those numbers are an indicator of the country’s progress. That is why providing accurate and clear information is of utmost importance,’ Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi gave a sweet message to the youth from the Red Fort. He announced that free online coaching facility will be provided for students preparing for competitive exams. He said that in the last few years, more than 650 new universities have been set up in the country. Prime Minister Modi said that foreign universities are also coming to India through the National Education Policy and our youth have got the opportunity to get foreign degrees in their own country.
