‘Dimagi Naxals’ | Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Maxim News): Union Minister Kiren Rijiju clarified that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not call opposition leaders as Maoist-minded people. He gave clarity to the criticisms of Congress leader P Chidambaram and others.
In a post on ‘X’ platform, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the words ‘Dimagi Naxals’ apply only to those who support Maoists and reject the Constitution, and those who stand with separatists and support Article 370. Rijiju said that it refers to people who call for cutting the ‘chicken’s neck’ to separate the northeastern regions of India from the rest of the country. Speaking at the 80th Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Modi said that there are also Dimagi Naxals who are preventing the country from moving forward. Senior Congress leader Chidambaram took the Prime Minister’s words personally on ‘X’ platform on Sunday and said that he is ‘proud to be a Dimagi Naxal’. (Maxim News)
