Hyderabad, August 19: Five minor boys were apprehended by Khairtabad Police after riding together on one scooter near Lakdikapul.
Police acted after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
The scooter owner was also booked. The five boys will be produced before a juvenile court, police said.
The video was posted on Instagram by nenu.navlogs on August 18.
It crossed one million views within a day and was widely reposted.
Meanwhile, the creator later clarified that he did not intend to make the video viral.

Instead, he said he wanted to alert police about the incident.
He also claimed that the boys’ parents contacted him and requested that he remove the video.
According to him, police took the boys to the station and counselled them.
The parents reportedly assured him that the boys would not repeat the act.
The video was briefly removed from the original account. However, it later became available again.
