Hyderabad, August 22: Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, has called for the Milad-un-Nabi procession scheduled for August 26 to be conducted peacefully and in a grand manner.
Sajjanar held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Markaz-e-Milad Juloos Committee at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGICCC) in Banjara Hills on Saturday.
The Commissioner said the Prophet’s birthday symbolises peace, brotherhood and harmony. He urged organisers, volunteers and participants to uphold these values during the celebrations.
Police Announce Strict Rules for Milad Procession
Sajjanar expressed gratitude to committee members for their cooperation with the police over the past three years. He noted that the committee had postponed its rallies when Vinayaka immersion and Milad celebrations coincided, helping maintain law and order.
He urged the organisers to continue the same spirit of cooperation this year.
The Commissioner directed that the procession must begin at the scheduled time and conclude within the stipulated timeframe.
He also warned that violations of traffic and safety rules would not be tolerated. Police will take strict action against minors driving vehicles, triple riding, rash driving and modified silencers.
