Hyderabad, August 23 (Maxim News): Several parts of Hyderabad received rain on Sunday as cloudy weather covered the city from the morning. The weather changed sharply from Saturday night, bringing showers to several localities.
Light rain began in parts of the city during the morning. By afternoon, some areas received moderate showers. The rain affected traffic movement and caused inconvenience to commuters.
Rain was reported in Musheerabad, Chikkadpally, RTC Cross Roads, Ramnagar and Vidyanagar. Adikmet, Kavadiguda, Kachiguda, Nallakunta and Tilak Nagar also received showers.
Several other areas also saw rainfall. These included Tank Bund, Khairatabad, Somajiguda and Lakdikapul.
The sudden showers brought temporary relief from the prevailing weather conditions. However, they also affected road traffic in several parts of the city.
Hyderabad rain forecast points to heavier showers
Weather observer Telangana Weatherman Balaji forecast heavy rain in parts of Hyderabad over the next two hours. He identified North Hyderabad, South West Hyderabad and Central Hyderabad as areas that could receive heavy showers.
Meanwhile, several districts across Telangana are also likely to receive significant rainfall. The forecast includes Sangareddy, Medak, Medchal and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.
Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Bhupalapally and Mulugu could also receive heavy rain. Bhadradri Kothagudem, Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet, Suryapet and Khammamare also on the list.
Moderate rain is expected in several other districts. These include Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Nizamabad.
Kamareddy, Jangaon, Hanamkonda, Warangal and Mahabubabad could also see moderate showers. Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda and Vikarabad districts are also expected to receive rain.
Furthermore, Balaji has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across northern and northeastern Telangana during the next two to three days.
The forecast could bring further rainfall activity across the state. Therefore, residents in vulnerable areas should remain alert during periods of intense rain.
Motorists should also exercise caution on wet roads. Commuters can expect slower traffic in areas that receive heavy showers.
The latest weather activity comes as Telangana continues to experience widespread rainfall in several districts. Hyderabad residents may also see changing conditions during the coming hours. (Maxim News)
