Hyderabad: Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups continued its strong run at the box office on Day 2. The film earned an estimated Rs 36.40 crore net in India, taking its two-day domestic net collection to Rs 137.50 crore.
The Geetu Mohandas directorial opened to a massive response on Wednesday. It crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on its first day and maintained a significant lead across major markets on Friday.
Toxic Box Office Collection Day 2
According to Sacnilk, Toxic earned Rs 36.40 crore net on its second day from 22,573 shows. Its India gross collection has reached around Rs 164.50 crore after two days.
The film also recorded a strong overseas response. It collected an estimated Rs 10 crore internationally on Day 2. Its cumulative overseas gross has reached around Rs 26.25 crore.
As a result, the film’s worldwide gross has climbed to approximately Rs 190.75 crore after two days.
On Day 1, Toxic collected Rs 101.10 crore net in India. Its India gross stood at Rs 120.75 crore, while the overseas collection was around Rs 20 crore.
Language-wise Day 2 collection
The Hindi version remained the biggest contributor on Day 2, collecting around Rs 23 crore.
The Kannada version added Rs 8.50 crore, while the Telugu version collected Rs 3 crore. The Tamil and Malayalam versions contributed around Rs 1.50 crore and Rs 40 lakh, respectively.

The second-day decline was expected after the film’s exceptionally strong opening. However, the sizeable collection has kept Toxic on track for a strong opening weekend.
The film’s performance over the weekend will be crucial. Strong audience word-of-mouth could help it maintain momentum during the coming weekdays.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups stars Yash in a dual role as Raya and his son Ticket. The gangster drama is set against the backdrop of Portuguese-ruled Goa.
The film also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Akshay Oberoi in key roles.
The story follows Raya’s rise in the criminal world and his complicated relationships with his sister, partners and son. The film combines action, crime, family conflict and revenge.
The CBFC has cleared the film with an A certificate. The board reportedly directed the makers to mute or replace certain words and include statutory warnings in the different language versions.
