Hyderabad, Sept. 1 : Former BRS MLA Shakeel Ahmed has backed TRS Chief K Kavitha if she contests the next election from Bodhan.
Shakeel said he would warmly welcome Kavitha if she chooses Bodhan as her constituency. His remarks have triggered fresh political discussions in Nizamabad district.
He said Kavitha’s husband Anil comes from Pothangal village. The village falls within the Bodhan Assembly constituency.
Therefore, Shakeel described Kavitha as the daughter in law of the constituency. He said she has every right and eligibility to contest from Bodhan.
Shakeel made the remarks while speaking to the media on Tuesday.
His comments come amid political changes within the BRS and growing speculation over future electoral alliances and contests.
Kavitha’s emotional moment also draws Shakeel’s response
Shakeel also reacted to Kavitha’s recent public display of emotion. He said he felt deeply hurt after seeing her cry in public.
However, he said the incident could reflect her personal pain. Shakeel added that he had no information about what had happened within her family.
He said he did not know the internal details behind the episode. Therefore, he avoided making any specific claim about the reasons for her emotional reaction.
