Hyderabad, Sept. 6: Two people died after their car hit a stationary truck on National Highway 44 in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Sunday.
The accident occurred near an HP fuel station opposite the 10th Battalion. The car was travelling from Hyderabad towards Jogulamba Gadwal.
According to reports, the car hit the stationary truck. Mounika and SaiKumar died on the spot.
The car driver, Mukesh, was reportedly behind the wheel when the accident occurred.
Police Probe Cause of Fatal NH 44 Accident
After locals alerted the police, officials reached the spot and launched rescue operations.
Police shifted the bodies to Gadwal Government Hospital for post mortem examinations.
Officials are investigating the exact cause of the accident. Reports said speeding, driver negligence or other factors may have contributed.
