Hyderabad, Sept 10 (Maxim News): Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that while the TGSRTC was on the verge of closure during the previous government’s tenure, it is now gradually getting back on track.
The Minister responded to questions raised by members in the Legislative Assembly. He announced that 2,200 buses are set to arrive for Hyderabad city under the ‘PM-eBus Sewa’ (PM-eDrive) scheme. Noting that there had been no elections for RTC labour unions for long time, the Minister revealed that a decision regarding the election dates would be taken soon.
“We have introduced a new EV policy. Hyderabad is set to receive 100 mini-buses; of these, 50 will serve the Old City, while the other 50 will provide connectivity to MMTS and Metro services. Women have availed free travel 347.47 crore times—this is historic,” Ponnam Prabhakar said. (Maxim News)
