Vijayawada/Hyderabad, Sept 10 (Maxim News): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to treat the family as one unit in house distribution.
He issued the direction during the first day of the collectors’ conference. He reviewed housing construction and beneficiary selection across the state.
Officials told the Chief Minister that they had identified 1.43 lakh people as eligible for house pattas.
Chandrababu asked officials to fully integrate the available data for house distribution. He stressed the need for better coordination while implementing the housing programme.
The Chief Minister also asked officials to set aside egos and complete planned works on time. He urged them to accelerate progress and achieve targets without delay.
During the review, Chandrababu examined the status of ongoing house construction. He also sought details about the process used to identify beneficiaries.
He emphasised that officials must work according to clear targets. He asked them to focus on timely implementation and avoid delays in completing government programmes.
Chandrababu Pushes Officials to Meet Project Targets
Chandrababu also reviewed measures taken to improve water security in the state. He appreciated the steps taken by officials in this area.
He said the government had already prepared a calendar for completing 36 projects. He directed officials to take responsibility for achieving the targets within the scheduled timelines.
The Chief Minister stressed that implementation would remain important for the government. He called on collectors to work with greater focus and speed.
Chandrababu also spoke about the functioning of the state government. He said cooperation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan had helped the government function successfully.
He asked collectors to change their approach according to people’s hopes and expectations. He said credibility remained crucial for both administration and public trust.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the different roles of bureaucracy and political leadership. He said both sides require distinct skills to perform their responsibilities effectively.
He stressed the importance of improving professional skills among officials. According to Chandrababu, stronger skills can create greater opportunities to move ahead.
The collectors’ conference therefore focused on housing, beneficiary selection, data integration, water security and project completion.
Chandrababu asked officials to maintain accountability while implementing government decisions. He also stressed timely delivery of welfare and development programmes.
