Hyderabad, Sept. 13: A state level multi specialty robotic surgery workshop began at the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) on Sunday.
Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha inaugurated the workshop at Dr Marri Chenna Reddy TIMS.
He also inspected robotic surgical equipment and related infrastructure at the hospital.
The minister interacted with medical experts and sought details about the use of the advanced equipment.

Rajanarsimha discussed plans to expand robotic surgery services across Telangana.
He said modern technology would further strengthen the state’s healthcare system.
The minister said the government aims to provide quality medical care to people across Telangana.
He described the workshop as an important step towards expanding advanced surgical services.
The programme brought together medical professionals to discuss the use of robotic technology in multiple specialties.
The workshop also focused on improving access to advanced medical procedures.
Officials and medical experts reviewed the available robotic equipment and infrastructure at TIMS.
The event was attended by DME Dr Vani and TIMS Director Dr Narendra Kumar.
Dr Beerappa, Dr Vimala Thomas and Dr Sudhir Srivastava also participated in the programme.
