Delhi/Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday described BRICS as more than an alliance, calling it a “system of solutions” aimed at addressing common challenges through cooperation.
Speaking on the concluding day of the BRICS Summit in Delhi, Modi thanked the leaders of BRICS member countries for participating in the summit and said the Delhi Declaration provides a clear direction for a shared vision and future cooperation.
PM Modi Says BRICS Decisions Must Translate Into Action
Modi said the decisions taken at the summit would be translated into action within a specified timeframe. He stressed that the outcomes should benefit people and should not remain limited to official documents.
The Prime Minister said India would work to ensure that the commitments made at the summit create a real impact on the ground.
Meanwhile, Modi is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with leaders participating in the BRICS Summit. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding mutual cooperation.
Modi is scheduled to meet Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Philippines President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The bilateral meetings are being held at the India Pavilion, with discussions covering areas of mutual interest and cooperation between India and the respective countries. (Maxim News)
