Hyderabad, Sept. 13: A woman Booth Level Officer (BLO) alleged that a local resident assaulted her and threatened to kill her in Hyderabad’s Old City.
The BLO told police that she had been performing election related duties for the past three months.
She alleged that the resident, identified as Hassan, had been harassing her for several days.
According to her complaint, Hassan allegedly assaulted her on Saturday after she objected to his behaviour.
BLO Assault Complaint Under Police Investigation
The woman said she warned Hassan that she would approach the police.
However, a fellow employee and an officer allegedly intervened and stopped her from immediately filing a complaint.
She later approached the police and lodged a complaint over the alleged assault and threat.
Police subsequently registered a case based on her complaint.
The police are investigating the allegations and further details are awaited.
