Kozhikode/Hyderabad, Sept. 25: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the political fight in India was between the Gandhi Parivar and the Sangh Parivar.
Speaking in Kerala on Friday, Reddy said Rahul Gandhi would become the next Prime Minister of India.
Revanth Reddy made the remarks while receiving the Aryadan Muhammed Best Public Servant Award 2026 in Nilambur.
The award was instituted in memory of former Kerala minister and Congress leader Aryadan Muhammed. It carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a memento.
Revanth Reddy Backs Rahul Gandhi for Prime Minister
Reddy said the Gandhi family had a history of sacrifice, referring to Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
He also said Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi had sacrificed positions and political power.
Reddy accused the Sangh Parivar of dividing India on the basis of religion, caste, region and language.
He called for people to unite behind the Gandhi family to protect democracy, secularism and freedom.
Reddy said he had no personal political ambition left. He said his remaining goal was to help Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister.
He also predicted that a Congress led government would come to power in Delhi and Rahul Gandhi would become Prime Minister.
Reddy described Kerala as a political “bellwether” and said the Congress victory in the state would create a wider political momentum.
He referred to past Kerala election results and their relationship with changes at the Centre.
Reddy also praised Aryadan Muhammed for his political career and described him as a committed Congress leader.
Aryadan Muhammed served as an MLA eight times and held ministerial positions in four Kerala governments.
Reddy said Aryadan had fought for freedom, democracy, secularism and constitutional values throughout his public life.
He also accused the BJP and Sangh Parivar of working against these values.
Reddy referred to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi as elected representatives from Kerala.
He urged Congress workers to support Rahul Gandhi and take what he called the party’s political momentum across the country.
Reddy also referred to his own political journey, saying he had worked at grassroots level before becoming a ZPTC member, MLC, MLA, MP, PCC president and Chief Minister.
The Aryadan Muhammed Foundation selected Reddy for the 2026 award for his public service and legislative contributions. The foundation said the selection recognised his leadership and welfare initiatives in Telangana.
