Internet/Hyderabad, Sept 30 (Maxim News): The INDIA alliance, which has been expressing strong objections to the comprehensive voter list revision process, is taking steps to further intensify its fight. Along with the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, a key meeting was held on Wednesday to protest against the irregularities. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who has been opposing the process from the beginning, did not attend such a key meeting. What could be the reason for this? The debate has reached a fever pitch in political circles.
Elections are due in UP in six months. In this context, there is talk in political circles that Akhilesh Yadav has become irritated by the comments made by some Congress party leaders regarding seat sharing. It is reported that the recent comments made by Congress MP Imran Masood Khan and the party’s state in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam have caused Akhilesh great dissatisfaction.
Senior leader Gautam Pal recently said that the Congress is preparing for all 403 seats in the state. He said that they will definitely contest in at least 150 seats. He said that the Congress is demanding equal seats, equal rights and equal respect. He said that discussions on seat sharing will also begin soon. Another leader Masood made key comments directly addressing Akhilesh. He suggested that Akhilesh should move forward with a big mind on seat sharing for the alliance. Only then will it be easy for Akhilesh to lead the INDIA alliance in the state, he said. But SP sources say that they can only allocate 80-90 seats to the Congress. It is from this perspective that comments are being heard that Akhilesh’s absence was analyzed.
It is interesting that the SP chief, who did not attend the meeting of the INDIA alliance, did not send key party leaders like Ram Gopal Yadav, Dharmendra Yadav, and Dimple Yadav on his behalf. Only Mohibullah Nadvi and Harendra Malik attended this meeting on behalf of the party. Talk in New Delhi political circles is that Akhilesh is doing this to express his dissatisfaction. However, the SP has clarified that Akhilesh is busy with matters related to filing nominations for the upcoming Rajya Sabha MP elections. It has also been stated that there is no other reason. The Congress has also rejected these claims. Party General Secretary KC Venugopal said that he spoke to Akhilesh Yadav himself.
