Hyderabad, Oct. 4: Hundreds of Muslims offered Namaz e Istisqa at Chilkalguda Eidgah on Sunday afternoon. The special prayers sought rain amid a rainfall deficit and concerns over dry conditions in the coming months.
Maulana Syed Ziauddin, Khateeb of Jama Masjid Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Chilkalguda, led the congregational prayers. He also addressed the gathering during his sermon.
Namaz-e-Istisqa Highlights Water Conservation
During his sermon, Maulana Syed Ziauddin urged people to conserve water and use it carefully. He also cautioned against wasting water, describing it as a precious gift from God.
After the prayers, Maulana Syed Rizwan Pasha Quadri and Abdul Samad Nizami led the dua. The supplication sought relief from the ongoing dry spell and prayed for rainfall.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Hussain Munna, president of the Masjid and Eidgah Committee, supervised arrangements at the venue.
