Following his arrest in late July 2026, the court remanded Reddy to judicial custody, leading to his imprisonment at Chanchalguda Central Jail.

During the investigation, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) authorities placed the officer under suspension, and police took him into custody twice for interrogation regarding digital evidence and suicide notes.

Reddy’s defense counsel persistently pursued bail petitions before the court.

After examining the case arguments and the status of the investigation, the Upparpally court issued orders granting him conditional bail.

The relief ends his over two-month stay in judicial custody, through trial and procedural conditions remain in effect as police wrap up the charge-sheet filing. (Maxim News)
