Rahul Gandhi SIR Petition | New Delhi, Oct. 13: The Supreme Court registry has reportedly flagged 10 errors in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s petition alleging irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The registry has asked his lawyer to resubmit a corrected copy.
According to the report, the registry also noted missing pages and asked for identity cards belonging to Rahul Gandhi and Rajya Sabha Opposition Leader Mallikarjun Kharge. It further pointed out a court fee discrepancy and sought an additional ₹200.
Rahul Gandhi filed the petition on Monday along with other Opposition leaders, alleging irregularities in the electoral roll revision process.
Rahul Gandhi SIR Petition Seeks Inquiry Into Voter Roll Changes
The petition seeks an inquiry by a committee headed by a retired Supreme Court judge into alleged vote deletions during the SIR process and changes to voter lists.

The report states that Supreme Court rules allow petitioners a minimum of 28 days to rectify errors in their filings. The registry’s objections concern procedural requirements and do not, by themselves, indicate a judicial decision on the petition’s allegations.
