The premises, located near the Government Hospital, were inspected on Wednesday night by Rajendranagar Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Sreenivas.
When police arrived, the management maintained that the establishment was a function hall serving food to guests attending events. The decorated interiors and serial lights gave the premises the appearance of a celebration venue.

However, the reported availability of biryani throughout the night and the menu card prompted further scrutiny. Police examined whether the premises was functioning as a convention hall or providing hotel-style services.
Hyderabad Police Temporarily Close Zoya Convention
Police temporarily closed the premises for the night and initiated steps towards legal action against the management.

Further action will depend on the inspection findings and the permissions held by the establishment.
The management maintained that food was being served to function guests. The inspection brought the venue’s late-night operations under scrutiny, but the report did not establish whether it had violated any licensing conditions.
