Hyderabad: Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh has urged residents to avoid wasting drinking water amid concerns over shortages in several Hyderabad localities.
He said inadequate rainfall had affected water availability in some bastis, with supply cuts causing difficulties for residents.
Raja Singh asked the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) to prepare an immediate action plan. He also called for a meeting with MLAs to discuss water supply arrangements.
Raja Singh Calls for Water Conservation
The MLA appealed to people in his Goshamahal constituency to save every drop of water and use it responsibly.
He urged households to avoid leaving taps running and encouraged residents to spread awareness about water conservation.
His appeal comes amid wider concerns about the possible impact of El Niño on Telangana’s water availability. The state government has also called for advance planning and careful use of water and electricity.
Raja Singh stressed that conserving water is a shared responsibility, particularly when rainfall is insufficient and some localities face supply difficulties.
