Hyderabad, Oct. 26: BRS deputy floor leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav has accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Telangana government of neglecting graduate voter registration in Hyderabad. He said only 23,000 applications had been received so far, compared with 1.1 lakh graduates registered within Hyderabad city limits during the previous Graduate MLC elections.
With the registration drive scheduled to close on November 6, Srinivas Yadav urged BRS workers to intensify their efforts. He called for door-to-door campaigns in colonies, slums and apartment complexes to identify eligible graduates and help them register.
Graduate Voter Registration in Hyderabad Needs Greater Outreach
Addressing a BRS cadre meeting for the Sanathnagar constituency at his camp office in West Marredpally on Monday, Srinivas Yadav criticised the Election Commission’s handling of the registration process.

He alleged that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) had not been appointed in several areas to assist eligible graduates. He also claimed officials were creating hurdles when party workers collected registration forms and submitted them to the authorities.
Srinivas Yadav further accused the ruling Congress government of showing little interest in the exercise. He appealed to party cadres to reach more graduates before the November 6 deadline.
