Hyderabad, Nov. 7: Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao announced that the party would organise foot marches across the state after Diwali. The campaign will be held under the banner “Let Us Protect Democracy”.
He said national-level BJP leaders were expected to attend the programmes as chief guests.
Rao also warned that BJP workers would obstruct Congress leader Rahul Gandhi if he visited Telangana. They would protest by waving black flags, he said.
He accused Gandhi of misleading young people by failing to fulfil pre-election promises.
Telangana BJP Chief Criticises Telangana Government Over Farmers
Rao clarified that the BJP was not opposed to the proposed Bharat Summit. He said the party would welcome industries and investments into Telangana.
However, he said the BJP would not remain silent if farmers faced difficulties.
The BJP leader accused the state government of neglecting farmers while participating in political activities in Delhi. He also alleged that the government was shifting responsibility to the Centre instead of addressing its own obligations.
