Mission Kakatiya A Success Despite Lack Of Central Funds: Harish Rao
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao lashed out at the Centre for not allocating funds for the prestigious Mission Kakatiya programme despite the fact that Niti Aayog had recommended it.
Replying to a question raised by Council members P Sudhakar Reddy, N Laxman Rao and V Gangadhar Goud during the Question Hour, the Minister said starting from the ‘Waterman of India’ Rajendra Singh to scores of prominent personalities and institutions such as Member of British Parliament Virendra Sharma, British High Commissioner Handro Michendro, the then Union Minister for Water Resource Uma Bharati, Niti Ayog vice chairman Arvind Panagariya, eminent agriculture scientist MS Swaminathan, Ethopia Agriculture Minister Yesu Abrah Ale and dignitaries from 19 countries had visited Mission Kakatiya works and congratulated the government for the programme.
