Farmers’ Insurance Ideal To Nation: Mahender Reddy
Hyderabad, June 18 (Maxim News): Aim of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was welfare of farmers and the State government was extending all succor to them for making faming a benefiting activity, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy has said.
Along with Council Chairman Swamy Goud today, the minister participated in a development program and inaugurated Rs 35 lakh worth new market committee at Rajendra Nagar constituency here. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the KCR Government has launched Rs 12,000 crore Rythu Bandhu Scheme to benefit the farmers. This is first of its kind in the country and KCR has the vision of turning the farming activity into a benefit making business, he reiterated.
The entire nation was surprised to see the scheme giving Rs 4000 per acre to the farmers to get rid of loan related problems and difficulties to repay, he said. The Chief Minister was becoming a role model for the nation to replicate such welfare schemes, Mahender Reddy noted. In addition to this, the farmers in the State are going to get Rs 5 lakh of insurance which will boost their living to next level, he maintained. He also said IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao was making yeomen efforts to turn the State and city of Hyderabad into a hub of industries and IT companies.
Swamy Goud said efforts will be made for developing animals market in Narsingi area with a plan to launch AC sheds in the segment. Stating that efforts will be made to open a degree college in Narsingi, he said that Musi River beautification will be taken up by the government on Gandipet-Musi river stretch. (Maxim News)
