Hyderabad, May 8 (Maxim News): Three journalists housing societies in Hyderabad have come together to form a Joint Action Committee following discussions held with Telangana minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy at the Secretariat on May 1, 2026.
The decision was taken as part of efforts to strengthen coordination among journalists housing societies and address common issues collectively. The initiative was formed following government suggestions during the meeting chaired by the minister.
According to representatives, the newly formed body has been named the “Hyderabad Journalists Housing Societies Joint Action Committee.” The committee includes nine representatives from the three journalists housing societies functioning in Hyderabad.
The Joint Action Committee consists of office bearers from JCHSL, TJMAC, and DJMAC along with advisors representing the societies.
Journalists societies seek coordinated approach
Representatives from JCHSL include B. Goparaju and M. Ravindra Babu. TJMAC representatives include V. Suraj Kumar and C. H. Rakesh Reddy. Members from DJMAC include B. Ravi and M. Srinivas.
The committee also appointed advisors including K. Virahat Ali, S. Vijay Kumar Reddy, and U. G. N. Muralikrishna.

On Friday, members of the Joint Action Committee met K. Srinivas Reddy to discuss issues related to journalists’ housing societies and future coordination efforts.
Representatives said the Joint Action Committee would work collectively on matters concerning housing, infrastructure, and welfare issues affecting journalists associated with the societies.
