Serve humanity and work for others : Dr. Aslam Parvaiz

Hyderabad, Jan 3 (Maxim News): Service to the humanity is the best service, every individual shall try to work for others. Dr Mohammed Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University expressed this view today while inaugurating a refresher course in Library and Information Science at UGC – Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC). The course designed for the faculty of Library and Information Science will conclude on 23rd January.

Dr Aslam Parvaiz in his address outlined the objectives of the programme and spoke about the importance of Library and Information Science and its prospects. The refresher course would refresh the knowledge of participants and motivate them to equip with the recent trends in the field of study, he remarked.

Thirty Five participants of Library and Information Science are taking part from various colleges and universities from all over India.

The Incharge Director of HRDC, Dr. M A Sikander who is also the Registrar, emphasized the importance of Library and advised the participants to be attentive and acquire the knowledge from the resource persons.

The Course Coordinator, Dr. Akhtar Parvez, Librarian, MANUU presented a well designed schedule for the course. Dr. Tahseen Bilgrami, Deputy Director of UGC-HRDC conducted the programme and Dr Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Assistant Professor proposed the vote of thanks. (Maxim News)
