Five students peddling ganja nabbed in Kukatpally

Hyderabad, March 25 (Maxim News): The Prohibition and Excise department on Monday arrested five students, who turned into peddlers of marijuana. The sleuths seized some 3kg marijuana, a motorcycle and five mobile phones from the possession of the arrested youth, who were operating from Kukatpally, police officials said.

Police said the gang was maintaining contacts with customers through WhatsApp. They were procuring the contraband from the agency area at
Araku in Visakhapatnam and selling it in the city. On a tip-off, the Prohibition and Excise personnel rushed to Prem Nagar in Erragadda and seized 1.296 kg of Dry Ganja and two mobile phones from the possession of C Naga Raju, 22, of Kukatapally and Ch Srikanth, 22, of Gokul Plots, near Prajay City, Kukatapally. They also seized one TVS Jupiter vehicle, which was used in the transportation of Dry Ganja.

On further inquiry, it was known that another three persons, who supplied ganja to the two accused were waiting at Room No. 301, Srinivasa PG Hostel, 3rd Floor, Road No.1, KPHB Colony, Kukatapally. Thereupon, the police proceeded to the spot and seized 1.764 kg dry ganja and three mobile phones from the possession of R Chandra Shekar Varma alias Chandu, 19, of R.K Enclave, KPHB 6th Phase, T Kranthi Kumar, 21, of Nizampet, 7 Hills, Venkatrdi Apartment 207 and M Leela Krishna, 20, residing at Srinivasa, PG Hostel.
