Nayeem Encounter Case: FGG Demands CBI Inquiry
Hyderabad, Dec.14 (Maxim News): City based Forum For Good Governance (FGG) today demanded the state government to seek CBI inquiry into the sensational encounter case of Gangster Nayeem.
The secretary of the forum Padmanabha Reddy said that 24 weapons including AK-47 rifles and grenades were recovered from the residence of Nayeem after his encounter. He wondered as to how Nayeem had acquired them without the ,cooperation of the police. He claimed that the police had given licenses to 24 guns recovered from the residence of Nayeem.
Referring to the statement of the SIT about the recovery of bullet proof jackets in the gangster’s house, he wondered as to how the SIT would make such statement that there was no link between the police and the recovery of the bullet proof jackets. He alleged that both police and revenue officials extended their support to Nayeem. He also said that the police had recovered 752 land documents in the residence of Nayeem. Reddy asked the SIT as to why it was not revealing the details of 602 phone calls made to the gangster. (Maxim News)
