Congress Leader V. Hanumantha Rao Arrested

Hyderabad, Dec.21 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao was arrested by police at Pembarthi . Rao was going to take part in a protest program being held at Kakatiya University by NSUI activists in support of the agitating farmers of the country. However the police stopped VH at Pembarthi near Janagaon and arrested him . He was later rushed to a police station.

Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that CM KCR was adopting double standards on the farmers of the state. Citing that the ruling TRS party also protested against the three controversial farm laws of the central government along with opposition party leaders, he alleged that the police started arresting them after the meeting of the CM with PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He demanded the chief minister to show his stand to the world about the three farm laws and the farmers.
He also demanded the CM to openly make statement if he wanted to extend support to the BJP on the issue.
