Revanth demands Govt to Help rains hit victims
Hyderabad, July 26 (Maxim News): TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today demanded the state government to come to the rescue of those , who have suffered a lot due to the recent heavy rains across Telangana. He wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of the state KCR on the issue .
In his letter , he told the CM that the farmers of the state had suffered a lot due to the recent heady rains and demanded it to Give Rs.15,000 per acre to the affected farmers. He also demanded the state government to give input Subsidy for the purchase of seeds and Fertilizers. Reddy further demanded the CM to pay the premium of crop insurance of the farmers and implement their he scheme besides demanding it to release funds for the payment of Rs.1 lakh towards the crop loan waiver scheme.
He alleged that the state government was neither implementing the PM drop insurances scheme nor implementing amended weather based crop insurance scheme in the state and added that the state government was not interested to implement the two crop insurance schemes for fear of paying premium amount for their implementation. He said that the rain insurance-2021 scheme being implemented by national agriculture insurance corporation to only seven crops of the state.
He said that the farmers of the state had no option but to pay the premium of the crops which have been covered by the corporation. Referring to the increasing fuel rates, the continuous increase in the fuel rates was having a terrible impact on the agriculture investments in the state. He demanded the state government to implement its crop loan waiver promise immediately . (Maxim News)
