Gangula Kamalakar accused BJP of playing dramas on the Dalit Bandhu Scheme

Hyderabad, Nov.5 (Maxim News): BC welfare and Civil Supplies Minister, Gangula Kamalakar today said that the state government will implement Dalit Bandhu scheme. The Minister accused the BJP of playing dramas on the scheme which was already started by the KCR Government. The BJP did not ask for Dalit Bandhu before the government launched it, he said. Our government led by KCR is for the welfare of the poor, he said and the BJP ruled states are not implementing such schemes.

The government will implement such schemes as usual for people and not after suggestions from the BJP or other opposition parties, he said. We are not going to stall it as the chief minister will take a decision on this, Kamalakar said. He informed a section of media persons that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced plans to implement the scheme for SCs empowerment. He retorted as to why the BJP is asking for implementing it or other schemes. Who is BJP to ask for any scheme, the minister questioned. It is for the government to implement such schemes like Rythy Bandhu, Dalit Bandhu or any others, the minister claimed. The government implements these schemes as it planned and not after the suggestions and comments by the BJP or the Congress, he said

He denied reports and doubts that the scheme for Dalits empowerment will be stopped as the TRS lost bypoll in Huzurabad to BJP’s Etela Rajender. The minister said that the chief minister will take a decision on implementation of Dalit Bandhu scheme.

The TRS Government will continue to implement several schemes of welfare on its own and not as told by the BJP, the minister claimed.

The BJP is planning to conduct protests for Dalit Bandhu on November 9, according to reports. (Maxim News)
