Coronavirus: Dr G Srinivas Rao Tests Positive
Telangana Public Health Director Dr G Srinivas Rao on Tuesday tested positive for Coronavirus. Srinivas Rao said that he is suffering from mild symptoms of the virus and underwent the tests.
“As a precautionary measure, I got admitted into the hospital and there is no need to worry and do not believe any false claims. I will come back in full health and I request all the citizens to be aware of COVID-19,” Dr G Srinivas Rao said.
It is known that the state has been witnessing a record number of COVID-19 cases for the past few days.
Health minister Harish Rao asked the citizens to be careful in the next three weeks as the cases are expected to rise further.
He asked the people to get vaccinated and undergo tests if anyone found to be suffering from COVID-19 symptoms.
“The infection will subside after taking medicine for a week. I request the people not to get admitted into private hospitals and waste money.
Public representatives and officials are advised to strive until the state achieves 100 per cent vaccination,” the minister said.
In the last 24 hours, Telangana witnessed 2,447 COVID-19 positive cases taking the total number of cases to 7,11,656.
