Congress will ensure equal growth opportunities for Tribal children: Revanth

Hyderabad/Adilabad, January 30: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & MP A. Revanth Reddy has assured that the Congress party, if voted to power in the next elections, will ensure that the Tribal children develop equally with the rest of the society.

He was addressing a meeting after attending the Nagoba festival in Keslapur village of Adilabad district in the wee hours of Sunday. He performed a special pooja in Nagoba Temple. He thanked the Mesrams for extending him a warm welcome. He also felicitated the Mesrams who organized the Nagoba Jatra. He also felicitated the Padma Shri awardee Gussadi Kanaka Raju on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy praised the Mesarams clan of Gond tribes for setting an example across the world by preserving the Tribal traditions. He recalled that the Congress party conducted a massive public meeting at Indravelli with the blessings and support of Tribal youth. However, he clarified that his participation in the Nagoba festival had nothing to do with politics. He said he had attended the festival out of pure respect forTribal traditions.

Revanth Reddy asked all the Tribals to approach him without any hesitation whenever they needed any help. “Just treat me like one of your own and meet me without any hesitation whenever you need any help,” he said while adding that the Congress party wants all Tribals to get opportunities in all fields on par with all other communities. He said Congress president Sonia Gandhi granted statehood for Telangana as she wanted the Tribals and other communities to get quality education, economic benefits and other opportunities. Sonia Gandhi has turned the 60-year-old dream of Telangana State into a reality and it is the duty of all Congress workers to ensure that Sonia Gandhi’s dream of empowering Tribals in all fields is turned into a reality.
