Telangana: EAMCET 2022 Likely in June

Hyderabad: Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2022 is likely to be conducted in June. As the intermediate examinations for major subjects are concluding on May 5, students will be given four weeks before the EAMCET.

A schedule will be announced by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) after taking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main timetable into consideration. This is to ensure that exam dates of EAMCET and JEE Main do not clash as a large number of students from the State appear for both the entrance tests.

For conducting the entrance test for admissions into various engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses in the State, the TSCHE has already appointed Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad Rector Prof A Govardhan as convener.

The Council has also constituted an admission committee which is responsible for conduct of the entrance tests and admissions through EAMCET. Soon, the committee will meet to decide the schedule and a notification will be issued in March.

Apart from EAMCET, the TSCHE is also planning on holding Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test for diploma and BSc Mathematics degree holders for lateral-entry admissions into second-year engineering and pharmacy courses in engineering and pharmacy colleges in June. Plans are also on to conduct the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) in June.

“The EAMCET will be conducted four weeks after completion of intermediate major exams which conclude on May 5,” an official said.
