Hyderabad, Aug.30 (NSS): Animal Husbandry & Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today held a meeting with the GHMC officials at Buddha Bhavan and discussed about the arrangements being made for the conduct of celebrations of Lord Vinaayaka.
Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Srinivas Yadava said the State government has made all arrangements for the celebrations of Vinayaka Chavithi. He said he reviewed the arrangements with the officials of all the departments concerned. He exhorted the people to perform pujas with clay idols of Lord Ganesha and help conserve the environment. He also said in the capital city alone some six lakh clay idols of Ganesha were being distributed to the people free of cost.
The minister exhorted the people to celebrate the festival in calm and peaceful atmosphere. He also said police bandobust arrangements were being made to prevent any untoward incidents in this connection. He also appealed to the organizers of Ganesh pandals to extend cooperation to the officials and help celebrate the festival in a peaceful manner. (NSS)
