Secunderabad Fire Accident: KTR announces ex gratia of Rs.3 lakhs

Hyderabad, Sept.13 (NSS): Expressing grief over the Secunderabad fire accident, Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao on Tuesday informed that the State government had decided to give an ex gratia of Rs 3 lakh each to the families of the persons who were killed in the incident.

According to police, the death toll in the fire accident has gone up to eight and a high level enquiry has been ordered into the incident.

Home Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali and Cinematography Minister Srinivas Yadav visited the spot seperately and enquired over the incident.

Police said over 25 people were residing in the rooms, with a few guests suffering burn injuries while some suffocated because of thick smoke. A few others jumped from building to save themselves and suffered injuries. (NSS)
