KTR demands Centre to sanction Rs.18k crore to Nalgonda district

Hyderabad, Oct.11 (NSS): Extending support to the statement of Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy who stated that his party is ready to withdraw from the Munugodu by-election fray if the Centre sanctions Rs.18,000 crore for the development of Nalgonda district, TRS working president KT Rama Rao said that his party would happily welcome if the Centre takes such decision for the welfare of people.

Addressing the meeting of Telangana Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi Vibhagam (TRSV) at Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday, the TRS working president said it was a duty of the party cadre that they should get to know the facts that why the necessitated the by-election and what are the reasons behind for the by-poll.

“We have a strength of 105 members in the State Assembly. It doesn’t matter to lose one seat for the TRS and quit from the fray if the Centre promises to give Rs.18,000 crore, equivalent to the reported contract work given to Komatireddy Rajagopal,” KTR said.

Stating that Nalgonda district was neglected in the combined Andhra Pradesh State and the people suffered from the issue of fluoride over the decades, Municipal Administration Minister KTR said that the TRS government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar had started supplying drinking water to all households under the Mission Bhagiratha Scheme after the formation of Telangana State and eradicated the Flouride issue successfully in the district.

He said the Telangana people were getting development fruits led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the State had been progressing in all fronts.

The State government is setting up the Skill Development Centre (SDC) at Dandumalkapur village, abutting the National Highway 65 on the Vijayawada route in about 580 acres of land under the Munugodu Assembly constituency. The SDC is being developed at the Telangana Industrialists Federation MSME Green Industrial Park. Once the proposed park is completed, it will be offered employment to thousands of local youth, KTR said. (NSS)
