CV Anand asks Youths To Make Hyderabad Drug Free City
Hyderabad, Dec 18 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V Anand called upon the youth to make Hyderabad a drug fee city.
The Commissioner of Police has launched the Anti-Drugs Program with 1000 students at Tagore Auditorium, Osmania University, and informed that anti-drugs committees have been formed in 55 colleges under the East zone of Hyderabad. The Commissioner said that the youth who are taking drugs for fun is slowly becoming addicted to it and ruining their lives.
He said, when the parents called for counseling, they were expressing shock to know that their children are addicted to drugs. He said that Narcotics and Enforcement wings have been set up to control the supply of drugs and consumption, He said that the aim is to set up anti-drugs committees in 855 colleges within the city limits. He said that out of 140 crore people in the country, 11 crore people are under the influence of drugs. He said that Hyderabad should be made a drug-free city. Psychiatrist Sandeep explained the problems caused by drugs.
Additional Commissioner of Police Vikram Singh Mann, East zone DCP Sunil Dutt, H-New DCP Chakraborty Gummi, Osmania University Registrar Lakshminarayana, Engineering College Principal Venkatesh, many ACPs, CIs, and police personnel participated in the program. (Maxim News)
