Priyanka Calls Telangana Congress dissident leaders to Delhi

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra | Hyderabad, Dec 19 (Maxim News): The Congress High Command has inquired about the development taking place in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC).

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, AICC General Secretary has directly stepped into the field to improve the party’s situation.

It is reported that Priyanka Gandhi has spoken to the Nalgonda MP, Uttam Kumar Reddy, and said that if they have any problem, they should come to Delhi and talk.

It is also reported that Priyanka Gandhi has asked to postpone tomorrow’s meeting of dissident leaders.

MP Uttam Kumar Reddy is said to have brought to Priyanka Gandhi’s attention that many leaders are against the TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy’s behaviour.

On the other hand, the senior leaders have decided to meet again tomorrow.

It is to mention here that in a major jolt to Telangana Congress, a total of 13 party members resigned from their respective posts on Sunday, protesting the remarks of some senior leaders that those who “migrated” to Congress from other parties got prominence.

In an apparent reference to some of the former TDP leaders who joined the Congress, former deputy chief minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh Damodar Rajanarasimha on Saturday sought to know what message would it give to “original Congress activists” if those who “migrated” to the Congress from other parties got prominence.

It is alleged that the dissatisfaction of these leaders is seen as directed towards State Congress president and MP A Revanth Reddy.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President, Revanth Reddy without directly responding to reporters’ queries on the internal bickering, said the party’s high command will look into all the issues.
