2024 Elections: Any Opposition PM Candidate Will Benefit Modi, Says Asad Owaisi

Hyderabad, Jan 9 (Maxim News): The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that whoever the opposition puts forward as the Prime Ministerial candidate against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will benefit Modi.

In the latest episode, while interacting in the electronic media, Asaduddin Owaisi said that the opposition must work hard in every constituency to defeat the BJP. He said that the opposition should give a tough fight in all 540 Parliamentary constituencies by fielding a single face from the opposition into the ring against the BJP, if there is no single face, it will only benefit the BJP. He expressed the opinion that whether it is Modi versus Arvind Kejriwal or Modi versus Rahul Gandhi, Modi will gain.

Answering the question whether Trinamool Congress Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on whether would be the right candidate for the opposition candidate against Prime Minister Modi, he said Mamata Banerjee had recently met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and we cannot say for sure whether she would be the right opposition candidate for the prime Minister.

Asaduddin Owaisi recalled that Mamata Banerjee had moved a resolution in Parliament against the BJP but praised Modi. Mamata Banerjee had called upon the Chief Ministers of the opposition parties to come together for a united fight against the BJP in 2024. (Maxim News)
