Kathmandu/Hyderabad, Jan 15 (Maxim News): 72 passengers were killed in a plane crash in Nepal. 68 passengers and four crew members were burnt alive. It seems that almost all the people on the plane died as a huge fire broke out after the plane crashed.
Five Indians and 10 foreigners are among the dead. ATR 72 flight of Yati Airlines coming from Kathmandu to Pokhara airport, crashed 5 minutes before landing. Rescue operations are going on. In this accident, the entire aircraft was burnt except for one wing. There is a delay in the recovery of the dead bodies as the fire is raging at the scene. Officials say it may not even be possible to identify the dead bodies.
Nepal prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed shock over the plane crash. An emergency cabinet meeting was arranged and the security forces and the home department were ordered to take immediate relief measures. However, the reasons for the plane crash are yet to be known. (Maxim News)
