Abhijeet Dipke | Nagpur, Oct. 14: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has challenged the Centre to produce evidence supporting allegations of foreign funding against his organisation.
Abhijeet Dipke demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah investigate the allegations and make the findings public. He said the CJP was an independent pressure group committed to protecting democracy and voting rights.
Speaking to the media in Nagpur, Dipke also criticised the five-day judicial custody of CJP leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and Ajinkya Shinde following their protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
He accused the Narendra Modi government of imposing an undeclared Emergency. He questioned why activists faced judicial custody after displaying the national flag during the protest.
Abhijeet Dipke Criticises Detention of CJP Leaders
Dipke alleged that the three leaders had been detained illegally and denied access to their lawyers. He questioned the grounds for sending Das and Ranka to five-day judicial custody.

He said the government should formally declare an Emergency if it intended to restrict protests. He also criticised authorities for allegedly using the police to suppress dissent.
The CJP founder linked the protest to allegations of electoral irregularities involving Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He claimed the Election Commission was involved in irregularities intended to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi return to power.
These allegations remain claims made by Dipke and have not been established as findings by a court.
Dipke also referred to protests organised by INDIA bloc parties. He said the CJP and other groups shared a common objective of protecting voting rights and addressing alleged electoral irregularities.
However, he stressed that the CJP would maintain its independent identity as a pressure group. He rejected allegations that the organisation operated with foreign funding.
Abhijeet Dipke challenged the Centre to investigate the funding claims transparently and disclose any supporting evidence. He said the organisation’s movement was aimed at protecting democratic institutions and citizens’ voting rights.
The controversy comes amid wider protests demanding Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The Election Commission and the BJP have rejected allegations of electoral manipulation.
