Hyderabad, June 16: The Anti Corruption Bureau launched extensive searches against Deputy Director of Land and Survey Narahari on Tuesday over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
ACB officials carried out simultaneous raids at Narahari’s residence, offices and properties linked to his relatives and close associates in Hyderabad and nearby areas. The searches began early in the morning and continued throughout the day.
Officials initiated the operation after receiving information that Narahari had allegedly accumulated wealth beyond his official earnings. Therefore, multiple ACB teams conducted coordinated inspections at around 10 locations.
During the searches, officials examined land documents, bank account records, financial transactions and property papers. They also verified details related to cash holdings, gold ornaments and other assets.
Sources said investigators are assessing whether the assets match Narahari’s declared income and service records. Meanwhile, officials are gathering documentary evidence to establish the extent of the alleged irregularities.
The raids form part of the ACB’s ongoing efforts to identify public servants suspected of amassing illegal wealth. In recent months, the bureau has intensified checks against officials facing allegations of corruption and disproportionate assets.
However, the ACB has not yet released the value of the assets found during the searches. Officials said a detailed assessment is underway.
After completing the inspections, the bureau is expected to issue an official statement outlining the assets detected and their estimated market value. Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
