ACP Uma Maheswara Rao In Custody By ACB

Hyderabad, May 29 (Maxim News): Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken CCS ACP Umamaheswara Rao into custody from Chanchalguda Jail.

On the 22nd of this month, he was arrested by the police in a case of disproportionate assets.

On Tuesday, the ACB court heard the petition filed by the authorities seeking custody of Umamaheswara Rao.

The authorities asked the court to remand the accused for 10 days, saying that if the accused is taken into custody, all the details of the illegal activities will be revealed.

In this order, the court allowed 3 days of custody. ACB officials took him into custody on Wednesday.

So far assets of Rs. 3.95 crore belonging to Umamaheswara Rao have been identified. It is known that Umamaheswara Rao, who was arrested last week in the case of assets beyond his income, was brought to the ACB court in Nampally and the court remanded him to Chanchalguda jail for 14 days.
