Afghanistan Warns Of Retaliation After Air Strike

Hyderabad: Afghanistan has warned of retaliation after recent airstrikes by Pakistan near the border. The warning came after the Pakistani Air Force launched airstrikes on Afghan territories after midnight on Saturday. Many people died in these attacks, according to the information provided.

Afghanistan Warns of Retaliation Over Pakistan Airstrikes

Pakistan announced that it targeted terrorists hiding in Afghanistan. It said these terrorist groups are responsible for several suicide attacks in its country in recent times. Meanwhile, Afghanistan rejected Pakistan’s allegations. It said these attacks cannot cover up the internal challenges facing Pakistan.

Afghanistan also stated that the attacks on national institutions and places of worship are evidence of the failure of Pakistan’s intelligence and security systems. It warned that it would respond befittingly at the appropriate time. It accused Pakistan of violating international laws. It also accused it of failing to uphold the basic Islamic values of being friendly with its neighbors.

Afghanistan said that dozens of civilians, including women and children, were killed in these attacks in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces. Therefore, the Afghan Defense Ministry stated that protecting the territorial integrity of its country and the security of its people is its first priority. It said this is its legal obligation.

The Afghan Defense Ministry commented that it will respond appropriately and at the appropriate time. However, Pakistan has been accusing Afghanistan inspired militants of carrying out several suicide attacks on its soil in recent times. It says it has solid evidence to support its claims.

Meanwhile, the Taliban has consistently denied Pakistan’s allegations. It has made it clear on several occasions that there is no place for terrorist activities on its soil. The situation has heightened tensions between the two countries following the airstrikes and the warning of retaliation.
