Hyderabad, Mar 25 (Maxim News): Former Jagtial MLA and senior Congress leader Jeevan Reddy, who has been expressing dissatisfaction with the leadership for some time now, has finally submitted his resignation to the party. Along with his AICC membership, he has resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party. Jeevan Reddy, who released his resignation letter, took off his Congress scarf in the assembly and wore a green colored scarf.
Jeevan Reddy, who has been protesting against the leadership for some time now, has been criticizing the decision to induct BRS MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar, who won from Jagtial, into the Congress. However, he submitted his resignation to the party in the presence of his fans, as he had announced that he would resign on the 25th of this month. On this occasion, he got a little emotional. “I have worked selflessly for the party for 40 years… but I have not received proper respect,” he expressed his grief. He made it clear that he cannot stay where he is not respected. He expressed deep dissatisfaction over the inclusion of MLAs from other parties despite the strength of the Congress government with sufficient MLAs. He reminded me that he has been saying from the beginning that party defections are not good.
“While Rahul Gandhi is going ahead saying ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’, here he is acting in a way that dilutes those values,” he said. Jeevan Reddy, who accused the Chief Minister of not consulting him even when his follower was murdered, expressed his grief and said that even patience has its limits. “I have been enduring insults for 20 months.” How can I work where there is no respect?” he asked. He said that he is particularly opposed to the inclusion of his rival sitting MLA Sanjay Kumar in the party in Jagtial constituency. He objected to the inclusion in the party without even consulting him. Former minister Jeevan Reddy said that this decision hurt him a lot.
Former Minister Jeevan Reddy has accused the Congress party of not making him happy that it came to power in Telangana…and of causing mental problems in the party for 20 months. He announced his resignation from the Congress party, taking these developments into consideration. He said that he would take a final decision on his political future only after discussing it with the workers. Jeevan Reddy said that he had never sought any positions in his political life. He said that he had not even made any attempts to secure positions. He said that protecting the respect of the workers was his priority. Former Minister Jeevan Reddy clarified that he would tour the villages from the 26th of this month to gather people’s opinions on the decision he had taken and then announce his future course of action.
