The two leaders met Bhatti at Praja Bhavan and discussed recent developments within the Telangana Congress, according to party sources. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy was also reportedly present during the meetings.

The meetings came as the party continues to debate possible action against Minister Konda Surekha and senior leader Chinna Reddy. The Congress state Disciplinary Affairs Committee has reportedly submitted a report to the TPCC president on the issue.

According to the report, the committee viewed Surekha’s alleged violations of party discipline as a repeated issue. It also raised concerns over statements made by Chinna Reddy.

Rajagopal Reddy meeting adds to Congress suspense

The separate meeting between Rajagopal Reddy and Bhatti has drawn attention within Congress circles. Party leaders have also questioned whether the meeting relates to the possibility of disciplinary action.

Rajagopal Reddy has previously made critical remarks about the state government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. His statements have often triggered debate within the ruling party.

Some Congress leaders believe that action against Surekha and Chinna Reddy could also lead to demands for action against Rajagopal Reddy. However, there is no official confirmation that the party has decided to initiate proceedings against him.

Meanwhile, Konda Murali said his meeting with Bhatti had no political motive. He told the media that he met the Deputy Chief Minister over a bill.

Murali also sought to distance himself from remarks made by his daughter Konda Susmitha. He said the family had no connection with her statements.

He added that Susmitha had her own views and said the family could not question her for expressing them. Murali also reaffirmed his family’s faith in the Gandhi family.

“We have complete faith in the Gandhi family and will remain in the Congress,” Murali said.

He further stated that he would not comment on the disciplinary issue until the committee announced its decision.

The Congress disciplinary committee’s report has therefore increased attention on the next move by the party leadership. The leadership will have to decide whether to accept the committee’s recommendations or seek further explanations.

For now, the party has not officially announced any final disciplinary action against Surekha, Chinna Reddy or Rajagopal Reddy.
