Air India | New Delhi, Oct. 13: Air India has extended the suspension of flights to and from Riyadh until October 15 following attacks on Saudi Arabia’s capital airport. The decision comes amid escalating regional tensions and security concerns.

Air India said affected passengers would be offered full refunds for cancelled bookings. The airline is monitoring developments before deciding when to resume operations.
IndiGo has also extended cancellations on routes connecting Riyadh and Dammam until October 15. Air India Express cancelled flights to Dammam and Jeddah for October 12 and suspended Riyadh services until October 15. Akasa Air has halted flights to Riyadh and Jeddah until October 13.
Air India | Indian Airlines Suspend Saudi Flights Amid Security Concerns
The disruptions follow repeated attacks attributed to Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Saudi airports and other infrastructure. The strikes have heightened concerns about civilian aviation and regional security.
Saudi authorities reported incoming drone and missile threats on Monday. The Saudi-led coalition also reported detecting aerial projectiles, although immediate details about damage from the latest barrage were not available.

The airport closure and flight suspensions have disrupted travel between India and Saudi Arabia. Passengers travelling to Riyadh, Dammam or Jeddah should check directly with their airlines for updated schedules, refund options and rescheduling arrangements.
Airlines have said they are prioritising passenger safety and will reassess operations as the situation changes. Further extensions or changes to flight schedules may depend on airport access and official security guidance.
